👉 🔁 Is your brain keeping you here?

Good morning Reader!

The loop

Have you ever felt…

like your mind just won’t turn off,
like you’re constantly thinking, planning, analyzing —
yet still not really moving anywhere?

As if you’re stuck in your own head,
replaying the same thoughts,
trying to figure your way out…

but never quite getting there.

And before the weekend is even over —
laundry done, grocery shopping is finished (if that) —
Monday is already back.

And you’re left wondering
where the time went…

only to step right back
into the same loop.

Our brain never stays the same — even when it loops

Your brain never actually stays the same —
even when it feels like you’re going in circles.

There’s a part of your brain — the limbic system —
that is designed to favor what is familiar.

Not because it’s right.
But because it’s known.

Heard of rumination?

It’s when the mind loops the same thoughts,
the same interpretations,
over and over again.

Left unchecked, those loops deepen through the process of neuroplasticity and myelination and evolve into more rigid patterns.

For example:

Rumination is the deepened layer of overthinking.

Depression is the deepened layer of rumination.

Over time, the circuitry of those loops strengthen.

Signal pathways become faster and more efficient.

And we begin to take them for truth.

When in reality,
we’ve simply left other circuits unused —
and therefore unavailable to us.

Which means:

your brain starts to prefer familiar patterns.

And even when you try to change them,

It keeps bringing you back.

To the same thoughts.
The same reactions.
The same patterns.

These loops begin to shape your subjective reality —
even when it’s not a full or accurate representation.

They shape:

how you see people,
how you interpret situations,
how you respond — before you even realize it.

So reactions become less than neutral.

They become biased by:

one's past experiences,
one's environment,
in other words — the thickest patterns one's brain has practiced the most.

Even when those patterns revolve around things that hurt.

It goes far.

People stay in dysfunctional relationships
because those patterns feel familiar.

Attractor states

In neuroscience, these are described as
attractor states —

patterns your brain naturally falls back into.

That doesn’t mean other possibilities (patterns) don’t exist.

They do.

But over time, they become less accessible to a one-patterned mind.

Not gone.

Just… not reached for.

And one makes decisions from a single, repeated perspective disguised in different life scenarios.

So no — the brain doesn’t stay the same.

It either becomes more fixed in its thickest patterns…

or more flexible in its responses and perceptions of what it sees as possible.

Today, I’m inviting you
to step out of the familiar loop —

and begin training a more flexible system.

To build new neural circuitry
across your entire system:

  • your breath → (respiratory chemistry & CO₂ tolerance)
  • your nervous system → (autonomic regulation & neuromodulation)
  • your body → (sensorimotor integration & structural adaptation)
  • your environment & context → (reinforcement learning & behavioral conditioning)

Because if only one of these shifts,
the rest will try hard to pull you back.

So to get out of the stuck loop (and we all have one),

You need a reset.

And this is exactly what this program is designed to do.

Not from one angle.

From all of them.

Handstand speaks life language

We use the handstand as a tool —

because it demands everything at once.

Your breath under pressure.
Your body under load.
Your mind in the NOW.

There is no hiding there.

No autopilot.

No assuming - it is very direct and vibrantly observable.

And over time, your system begins to reorganize.

You’re not reacting the same way.
You’re not falling into the same loops.

You’re building new patterns.
New responses.
A new baseline.

This is your invitation
to step out of repetition
and into new possibility.

This is change — beyond the level of your current patterns.

As Albert Einstein put it,
“You cannot solve a problem from the same level of thinking that created it.”

And this is exactly what you will do.

Dear Reader, Today, on International Yoga Day, millions of people across the globe are rolling out their mats — and I want to invite you to something deeper than the poses. Over 2,000 years ago, the sage Patanjali opened the Yoga Sutras with a single truth: Yogah cittavrtti nirodhah. Yoga is the stilling of the changing states of the mind OR Yoga is the complete settlement of the activity of the mind. That's it. That's the whole practice. Physical poses, self-care, ethical decisions, raised...

Hi Reader! ✨ In quantum physics, an electron has two natures. A particle — electron's location at a certain point. And a cloud — a movement within a field. When physicists try to locate where the electron is, they discovered something that we still do not have a full explanation for: The act of looking in a certain direction within a cloud, increases the probability of finding the electron there. The attention of the observer directly affects the observed. This is called the collapse of the...

Good morning Reader! We've been talking about the signals your body reads — and the way those signals shape how you perceive life. Today: breath. 🌬️ Breath is the signal your body reads at the most rudimentary level. You can use it to rev yourself up with energy. Or to calm yourself down when the logical mind has shut off — in a panic attack onset, in emotional flooding, in any moment when your system has shifted into fight or flight. In that state, all energy flows away from your logical,...
